Crew members gather for a sight as the ship approaches Pitcairn Island in the southern Pacific Ocean.  This is the island where Fletcher Christian settled (or went to ground - depending on which account you read) after the infamous mutiny on HMS Bounty.  Today the island's population is barely two hundred souls.
